All four tops are pieced and I got batting for all of them (well. I got batting for all possible quilts. It's kind of adding to my stash while also busting it). I started quilting my last top first, just a simple wiggly line design. However, I felt that it was a fairly plain design so I included a few "hidden" hearts in the quilting.

If you peer closely you can see I am still working on keeping the stitch length even with free motion machine quilting. You do not have to peer closely to see the heart is lopsided but I'm making like Elsa and letting it go. This was pretty early on this quilt and I'm feeling more confident the further I get. I half less than 1/4 left to go and I should finish it tonight.

I'm looking at the quilt tops I have ready and trying to decide--I wanted to stretch myself a bit and try a sun design (kind of like the suns from Tangled) on one of them. The rest I was going to keep pretty simple--just wiggly lines. It looks good, it's fast and it's stable. I might get fancy and do spirals on one of them. I don't know, I kind of just let my inner creative decide once I press down on the foot pedal and start quilting.

In the rest of my life--a prep interview today and a real interview tomorrow (working with a recruiting firm on this job). I heard from my first choice job on Friday and they asked if I was still available. Nothing from them today but most offices in this field take President's Day off so I'm not worried yet. I'll poke them later this week if I don't hear anything. I'll be a bundle of nerves tomorrow about the prep interview--the real interview is for a high-end company that has notoriously tough interviews and I have no idea what to expect (by design). I'll just be glad when it's over. Interviews like this are definitely not designed for people with anxiety like me.

I also plan on wogging today (walk + jog). I need to get back into running shape before I bring my dog home full time. I found a new place I think might be good for running--I like to wear both headphones which I know is dangerous but I get a better workout that way. But I found a place that is very open and has a retirement community, a day care and a busy retail center all right there so fingers crossed it'll be good.

Ah, free motion quilting, my nemesis. You're doing a great job!

Huh! Makes sense. I think my wonky tension sabotaged my last attempt too - but I've cleaned the tension wheel since then. You learn something every day. You're gonna get biceps of steel quilting like that!
